With You, Singing (a lullaby)

Prompt: It's a society of pretty lies and dreams. I keep thinking I'd make it something about sleeping/waking and secrets if I was able to get even remotely coherent about it. by Kabobbles.

With You, Singing (a lullaby)

I'll be close, never say goodbye / Dreaming's sweet, just a pretty lie

Hush, little one, and don’t you cry
I’ll be close, never say goodbye
Dreaming’s sweet, just a pretty lie
I’ll be with you singing

Sleep, little one; I’ll hold you close
Close your eyes; I won’t let go
Oh, what secrets that we know
I’ll be with you singing

Hush, little one, your heart is full
My love and whispers are in you
Know there’s nothing you can’t do
I’ll be with you singing

Sleep, little one; you are my heart
Perfect in your every part
I will end and you will start
I’ll be with you singing

Dream, little one; one day you’ll wake
Bright new mornings you will make
Until then, for your dear sake
I’ll be with you singing
I’ll be in your dreaming
I’ll be with you singing

Thank you again for writing this. I just wish I'd thought the request through more before making it because I now know it was out of character in the first place and scrapped the scene.

Still, it helped you out with your challenge, so that's something, right?

Yes! That is something. And it was nice to just rattle something off. It doesn't happen as often as I'd like some weeks.
