some mirrors / the dreamer learns

mirror, mirror

mirror, mirror that reflects / in the glass you see your face / mirror, mirror, show my dreams / your body moves with studied grace

Mirror Fantasy
Poem

mirror, mirror on the wall
look away or take the fall
mirror, mirror, brightest glass
skitter by or give it all
mirror, mirror, hear my call
turn your back, prepare to drown
mirror, mirror, bring to pass
if you stop to straighten gown

mirror, mirror that reflects
in the glass you see your face
mirror, mirror, show my dreams
your body moves with studied grace
mirror, mirrored path deflects
you curve your lips in practiced smile
mirrored light break into streams
pretty thing, this is all guile

mirror, mirror, in your draught
look again, the image shifts
mirror, mirror, breathe my hope
reflected are your finer gifts
mirror, mirror, faith untaught
steady dreamsĀ  you steadfast hold
mirror, with my word elope
look in me, they will unfold

mirror, mirror, darkest depths
break idleness from in your mind
mirror, mirror overflow
plumb the depths and you will find
mirror, mirror, water’s breadth
worlds are mirrored in your hands
mirrored sun’s initial glow
time obeys your soft commands

mirror, mirror, hear me now
whatever hope you wholly hold
mirror, glimmer my command
burning bright in credence bold
mirror, what our faiths allow
cast in dreams into my face
mirror out and let it stand
you will wreak upon this place
